Taverna Omiros in Hamburg

Delicious down-to-earth Greek restaurant with moderate prices and no frills. We live very close by and are therefore there quite often, also as a meeting point with friends. All the friends we brought with us were always satisfied. I like the friendliness and the relaxed atmosphere. We always have special requests and we are always happy to meet them. We pick up at Corona times and the food tastes good every time. Hopefully we can eat there again soon. In spring / summer / autumn you can sit on the sheltered terrace.

We ordered. Food arrived after 30 minutes. It was still super hot and steamed. It was delicious. There was also bread and a delicious small salad. Really great 😊 huge portions, super seasoned. We were really pleasantly surprised and don't understand how one can be dissatisfied here. Delicious!!!

Absolute disaster, eat small portion, fries tasteless, gyros not flavorful. Staff dirty and the entrance area smells of old fryer fat. Once and never again

Just got out of this place, absolute disaster. You don't even know where to start. This shop is not a Greek restaurant, new owner with Arabic roots? Spices didn't go well, drinks were warm and the wine was cheap booze. Tried food and left standing ... still full bill, unbelievable. The main thing is to come up again in a Mercedes. And that wasn't a Greek who then appeared behind the counter ...

The food is great, the service very friendly and attentive. If possible, we are happy to implement extra requests.

Very nice different areas in the restaurant even a smoking room there! Very nice atmosphere and very nice restaurant. The food is always delicious 😋 and highly recommended. I can only recommend. Nice that there is Omiros otherwise we would have missed something. Good fast team keep it up !! Dear Taverna Omiros team! We will be back ! I was very dissatisfied with my meal. Had the fish platter for € 19. The entire plate was breaded and was thrown into the frying pan once. I can do that myself, I don't need a restaurant for that. At 19 € this stuff belongs on the grill and only one shrimp on the plate is really very weak. Because of the fried stuff, I had stomach problems the next day.

Sorry but if you come a little later and the welcome ouzo is served, you should think that it will be served later. Unfortunately that wasn't the case. A repeat order was also unsuccessful. The cook seems to have a contract with Maggi, the sauce, which was supposed to be a cream sauce, was anything but a cream sauce. The plate was also carelessly arranged for me. For me this restaurant has the flair of a snack bar.

Food was delicious, hot and very good and large portions. The staff were friendly and there were 2 ouzos.

Big disappointment. Service is the bottom line. You have to wait forever for an additional order. The grill plate for 2 people was carelessly arranged. Bifteki completely dry and seared to death. Even after asking twice to bring the bill, there was no response after 20 minutes. Conclusion: They'll never see us again.

Eat well long wait. We were there with 3 people on Saturday at 7:15 p.m., it was well attended but if you have to wait over 1 hour for your meal it is already hard the hour after the salad was brought in !! So bring TIME

Very (child) friendly staff. Wide range of authentic dishes. Parking lots and subway nearby. Again and again!

Eating not so great. Soup extremely seasoned, salad mushy. Employees prefer to talk to regular guests rather than serve others. There is nothing like lust for Greece.

Were there in a large group yesterday and have to say it was all in all perfect. The service was attentive and friendly, drinks and food came quickly despite the large number of visitors. There was a nice atmosphere. The food tasted great and price performance was right! On the whole I can recommend the restaurant to everyone !!! Will definitely be back! Great shop!

They forgot about our order. :))) We waited around 1 hour for a gyros. :)) They served us with complementary drinks, however we were hungry.

Very, very nice service. Very family friendly! The food was good, good and very down to earth food. Certainly not a culinary high but very solid and very cheap. Bifteki for 7.90 including salad and soup was really delicious.

A cozy Greek restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. The beer, pilsner like wheat, is tapped fresh from the barrel. Even for someone who just wants to stop by for a beer there is a place in the adjacent beer garden. The next time we are in the area we will definitely come back here.

Really good food in an out of the way Greek restaurant. The food is much better than the place looks from outside so well worth venturing inside.

This is a lovely little place, offering authentic Greek, family-style and intimate dining options. Courtesy ouzo before and after dinner was a sweet treat! The waiter even brought out “kinder-ouzo” (shot-glass sized drinks for the kids to toast alongside the adults). Speedy service and very tasty, fairly-priced menu. Very short walk over from the Linder Hotel and zoo area. We called ahead ahead, which turned out to be a good idea as it got quite busy about 30 mins after we arrived (7:00pm). Probably best to call/reserve on weekends for better seating options.

Awesome spot with excellent service! My girlfriend and I were visiting Hamburg for one night for a concert, and we grubbed here twice, and were treated like family. Our 2nd visit was after the show, just before midnight, and we ordered our food take away. The owner (wish I recalled his name) gifted us a small bottle of wine to enjoy with our dinner.
